Well here is my story .... My name is Kelly Scofield and I grew up in Swartz Creek, Michigan. I entered Western Michigan University when I graduated high school, and studied Fine Art and Graphic Design. I graduated with a Bachelors in 1996.

When I was in college I received my first real big "sign" job! I painted a 30' Bronco logo on the center ice of Westerns Ice Arena. The school contracted me to do several other jobs around campus in my years at school. I painted the floor of the Football Press Box, advertisements on the arena ice, several ice arena concourse signs, and directional signage for the arena.

When I graduated in 1996 I knew the sign industry was for me. I got my first real sign job in 1996 in the Flint area. I worked for a great company and learned a lot in regards to the sign business. I left that company after a couple years, to go work at a sign engraving company where I stayed for 4 years until the company closed their doors. When I left the engraving company I ended right back where I started, at my very first sign company in Flint. I really enjoyed all the people I worked with and learned a tremendous amount.

I relocated to the Grand Rapids area in 2006, and was employed with a sign shop until 2010 when I was laid off. At the point I heard I was laid off , I knew it was up to me to ensure my own success and happiness. So with my 15 plus years of experience and Graphic Design Education, what better way than to start my own sign business, Kelly's Sign and Print Shop!

My Vision is to design and produce custom signs, ideas, logos, and more, which in turn will enlighten other businesses and individuals by relaying their unique message. Kelly's Sign and Print Shop will not operate as a "cookie cutter" business; our focus is on Creativity, Quality, and Customer Satisfaction!
